November 30, 2011 Košice – During the official RecruitRank Awards 2011 evening, RWE IT Slovakia was given third place for the interview quality at the end of last week. The IT company in Košice succeeded for the first time as the only IT company from the Eastern Slovakia in the 4th Slovak competition with the best rated selection procedures based on the direct anonymous feedback from more than 100, 000 candidates among other 130 big companies.

RWE IT Slovakia introduced herself at the pan—European event The Night of Researchers for the first time. The employees presented the innovative projects of the Group in the Košice shopping centre Optima on September 23. They showed the public the electro-mobile with the charging station, explained the project Smart Home as well as BlackBerry applications, which also they themselves develop. The topic Cloud Computing was considered interesting, too.

The company RWE IT Slovakia prepared free technical workshop in duration of one week for students and university graduates. Between the 11th and 15th of July 2011 the selected lucky ones educated themselves in the IT area led by RWE team with international experience. Within the first year of the Summer school the company registered 170 applications, however only 35 students got the “green light” based on the selected criteria.

The company RWE IT Slovakia can really be proud of its two colleagues - Michal Pristáš and Marek Šuščák. Under the guidance of Jaroslav Porubän the clever students of Informatics at the Technical University in Košice won the all-Slovak final of the prestigious competition Microsoft Imagine Cup – Software Design and qualified for the world final in New York.

The hearing-impaired people in Germany have been using the special services for several years now. These help the hearing-impaired people to eliminate communication barriers and integrate them into the social as well as professional areas of life.

April,15th 2011 Košice – The company RWE IT Slovakia s.r.o. was awarded the Via Bona 2010 prize for engaging its employees into voluntary activities. The prize is awarded annually by the Pontis foundation based on the decision of an independent expert committee. The committee has acknowledged the innovative attitude of the RWE IT Slovakia company regarding the
content change of the annual teambuilding. The company had been nominated for the project "You Are the Hero".
moreThe company RWE IT Slovakia has prepared a one-week free-of-charge workshop for students and fresh graduates. The IT topics will be presented by experts with wide experience, who are members of the international RWE team.
The workshop will focus on technical topics, which are currently not lectured at the universities. The company has open positions in several fields and the seminar participants will also have the chance to become members of the international RWE team.

December 9th 2010, Košice – RWE IT Slovakia s.r.o. in Košice cooperates on a project thanks to which the households may save up to 12% of energy costs a year. Smart Home is a software for an intelligent automation of households based on a wireless principle. It enables the regulation of heating and electric devices by means of a computer, the so called smart phones or remote controls.
